Ongava Game Lodge is situated very close to Etosha National Park in a privately owned game reserve of the same name. Accommodation is in 12 air-conditioned brick, rock and thatch chalets, each with en-suite facilities that are scattered across a small hillside. The main area has split level decks for dining and relaxing and these look out over the reserve and the waterhole beneath.
Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha where lion, elephant, cheetah, gemsbok, springbok, zebra, giraffe, kudu, ostrich and hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes in the park. In addition, night drives and walks with armed guides can be enjoyed on the private reserve. There is also a hide close to the waterhole beneath the lodge. Among other species, Ongava has a conservation programme for its resident white and black rhino.
