The M/S Stockholm is an amazing vessel and this is the 15th time Andy has been on board her leading a trip. Because of her small size, she can go many places where larger ships fear to sail. There will be two awesome captains who are obsessed with showing clients the wonders of Svalbard. Working in the sea ice, sometimes well into the sea ice, you need to have the best and we have it in Per and Magnus. They have their own navigation charts too so we can do things that others can't, it's as simple as that! The ship serves great food and provides a wonderful atmosphere. Decks are low giving great angles for photography and there is a crows nest for a higher vantage point and for spotting polar bears a long way off.

This trip also includes two incredible guides, Adam Rheborg and Dr. Nikita Ovsyanikov:

a) Adam Rheborg is one of Svalbard's most senior and respected expedition guides. He has great humour, is very safety conscious and lives and breathes the Arctic. Working with Andy they can turn any day into wonderful photographic opportunities, they are simply the best at what they do.

b) Dr. Nikita Ovsyanikov is one of the most respected polar bear scientists on the planet. He has lived amongst polar bears on Wrangel Island for 25 years studying them at close quarters and is an expert on polar safety. You will love to hear his passion and knowledge on all things polar bear and besides talks and his Russian humour he will be leading a second Zodiac from the ship.

There will be no set itinerary but the plan will be to reach the sea ice where the polar bears roam the edges in search of their diet of seals. It is also expected that you will sail by the incredible ice cliffs of Austfonna, the world's third largest icecap. You will also like stop by the large walrus colony at Storoya to photography these characterful creatures.

This is described as the Ultimate Svalbard Expedition and with no other small ship Arctic expedition cruise in the area for so long this is the best experience you will find out from Spitsbergen.
