In the northern reaches of Finnish Lapland you will find the friendliest guesthouse, in a unique location, on a family run husky farm. Originally born from a love of these friendly animals, the husky farm has grown over the years into a complete experience, combining their passion for dog sledding with cosy accommodation, friendly Finnish hospitality and a desire to share this remote corner of Europe with guests from around the world.
Your adventure begins and ends at the cosy guesthouse, where you will receive a warm welcome and hearty home cooked meals. But the main event will be a multi-day husky safari in the safe hands of owner and guide Juha-Pekka who, with his long distance race experience, was also one of the first guides to offer husky tours in Lapland.
After meeting the dogs and a lesson in mushing, you will be shown how to harness your own team of dogs before setting off on a either a 2 or 3 day adventure exploring the endless frozen ice and islands of Lake Inari. Enjoy the stillness of nature combined with the exhilarating feeling of speeding across the snow covered terrain to only the sound of the sled with your four legged companions at the helm. Spend an unforgettable couple of nights in a wilderness cabin, just you, your fellow travellers and your faithful dogs, surrounded by the sound of silence. Here, out in the wilderness you may also be privileged enough to witness the beauty of the aurora borealis.
