Short on time? Then Wildlife & Wilderness suggests that you consider squeezing a long weekend away from home and realise one of the world's greatest nature experiences. With practically no jet lag this is a truly possible safari. You will probably fly during the day and arrive in Entebbe for a comfortable night's rest.
The next day you fly down to an airstrip near Bwindi on a scheduled light aircraft. There is a short transfer to the mountains and an afternoon at leisure to explore the little village at Buhoma and the rainforest.
Gorilla tracking is one of the most rewarding and perhaps life-changing experiences many have. To sit close to these wonderful primates truly is a privilege. The hike can be hard work as the hills around Buhoma are steep and treks to reach the gorillas might be anything from 15min to 3 hours generally, sometimes longer. Gorilla trekking is taken at your own pace, the guides and porters being very accommodating. At the end of an hour, you will leave the gorilla family group and head back towards Buhoma in the valley bottom, an easy return with the memories of your encounter in the wild.
The next day returns to the airstrip and flies back to Entebbe to connect with your departure flight. Back to work the next day after an amazing experience in a delightful country.
