Parangi Weligama Bay

A small, Portuguese inspired, boutique hotel set right on the long arc of the beach at Weligama Bay. Perfect for a laid-back stay with whale watching from the port of Mirissa just a short drive away, the staff are friendly and relaxed and for a small property leave you space to enjoy the facilities, primarily the pool and a short walk down the garden, the beach.

Dining is on the ground floor overlooking the pool with rooms either upstairs or out the back with their own small garden. Personally, we would only try to book the Superior Sea View Room or the Sea View Family Room, purely for the views and that fact that these are notably light and airy with an ocean-coloured theme and either have a balcony or their own garden.
