Set in the middle of the forest close to chimp tracking from the park HQ

Introduction

Primate Lodge is located on the edge of Kibale Forest National Park and rewards visitors with the opportunity to stay in the rainforest and experience the sounds and discover the terrific birdlife and primates that share their home.

The main lodge curves through a clearing and the tents are spaced throughout the surrounding forest making this the best place to stay when visiting Kibale Forest. Each of the cottages is simply yet comfortably furnished.

The main highlight of Kibale is tracking primates and the national park has one of the greatest diversities and highest densities of primates anywhere in Africa. The chimps here are among the best habituated in Uganda. Also of note is nearby Bigodi Wetlands where an enjoyable marsh walk with a local guide will show you more primates and some great birdlife.
