A large lodge in a woodland setting outside of Banff

Introduction

Buffalo Mountain Lodge lies on the gentle slopes of Tunnel Mountain, once known as Sleeping Buffalo by the Canadian Native culture. Opened in 1988 and situated in 9 acres of beautifully sculpted woodland, the lodge boasts unique mountain style architecture to complement its natural setting.

The main lodge features a massive stone fireplace and open beam ceilings with custom-made cherry, pine and bent willow furnishings, whilst guest rooms are adorned with wood-burning stone fireplaces and modern amenities and some feature balconies or patios to soak in the fresh mountain air.

Enjoy mountain tapas, creative cocktails, and a happy hour that can’t be beat at The Prow, set within the main lodge. With a reputation for providing the finest and most innovative cuisine in the Canadian Rockies the restaurant adopts a farm to fork philosophy ensuring the freshest authentic flavours.

Buffalo Mountain Lodge is an ideal property for visitors looking to experience a true Canadian mountain lodge, whilst still enjoying the many attractions of Banff, its wildlife and breath-taking scenery.
