Description

Begin your Arctic adventure with a warm welcome and transfer to the peaceful Máttaráhkká Northern Lights Lodge on the outskirts of Kiruna. After your journey, unwind in the rooftop hot tub under the night sky, perhaps catching your first glimpse of the northern lights, followed by a delicious 3-course dinner in restaurant.

The next few days offer unique Arctic adventures that really differ from norm, with a focus on longer, more personalised experiences.

Immerse yourself in Sami culture with Håkan, a local reindeer herder, as you hand-feed reindeer, enjoy a sleigh ride, and share a traditional meal by the fire in a Sami tent.

The evening brings more magic, with dinner by the fire in a tipi, followed by a snowmobile trip to the summit of Mt. Ednamvárri, offering 360° views, perfect for northern lights photography.

You'll also visit Husky Home, where passionate mushers guide you on an exhilarating dog sledding adventure through snowy forests and across frozen rivers. Learn to connect with the huskies using the 'Trust Technique' in a peaceful mindfulness tipi, ending with a hearty meal and stories of Arctic life.

After relaxing back at the lodge, the evening kicks off with a BBQ by the fire before an exciting aurora chase between Kiruna and Abisko National Park to hopefully witness the northern lights in these low light-pollution areas.

Your final adventure is an exhilarating snowmobile safari to the edge of the Arctic tundra with stunning viewpoints. Take a break on the trail for coffee and Swedish Fika and there is also a chance to try ice fishing on the frozen lake. Lunch is served back at the lodge and the rest of the afternoon is free for relaxation or independent snowshoe exploration.

Celebrate your last evening in Lapland with a delicious 3-course dinner, expertly crafted by talented chefs using the finest local ingredients. As the Arctic night settles in outside, maybe the evening will offer a final chance to witness the aurora overhead.

The time has then come to bid farewell to this winter wonderland but you are sure to take unforgettable memories home with you.
