The leopards of Okonjima and the conservation work done by the Africat Foundation here start your safari off in good spirits before you head northwest.
En route to your lodge you can visit Hoba meteorite, at 60 ton and composed of mostly iron it is an enormous chunk of outer space and the largest meteorite known on Earth.
The following day you can walk in the bush with the San people, learn about their lifestyle & culture and learn to make fire. This is always a fascinating and informal day in the footsteps on ancient ways.
Moving on you will notice the landscape change, become greener and you round out your day with a sunset boat cruise on the Okavango River, the pan handle to the Delta. From your lodge here safari game drives will provide some excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Bird watching too can be very good with species seen climbing rapidly in numbers with the abundance of water here.
Squeezing through the Caprivi Strip to where it broadens out you emerge at Lianshulu Lodge on the Kwando River. A terrific location for wildlife, situated in a private concession in Mudumu National Park. You can expect game drives in search of huge herds of buffalo and elephants. Lion & leopard are also prevalent across the varied habitats here.
Before reaching Victoria Falls you cross the borders into Botswana for a day on the Chobe River. Victoria Falls is just a short drive away and there is time to explore the falls from the Zimbabwean side before flying out of Victoria Falls International Airport.
