This spectacular trip into some of the most remote areas in southern Africa starts with a journey to the edge of the Namib-Naukluft National Park to see the highest dunes in the world at Sossusvlei. After climbing some of the dunes or entering incredible Deadvlei you can enjoy an outdoor breakfast.

Your journey continues with a flight across the immense desert landscape and coastal dunes to reach Swakopmund where you connect with a flight to Damaraland and ultimately into the remote Desert Rhino Camp.

From camp you explore daily with game drives and walks, the highlight being the chance to track desert-adapted black rhinos on foot across this arid but spectacular landscape. The table-top mountains around camp make this feel like an otherworldly outpost.

Your final destination is Serra Cafema, another remote luxury camp on the northern border of Namibia with Angola and situated next to the Kunene River. By exploring by quad bike, the most sensitive way to discover this vast area, you will visit the Himba who seek a nomadic lifestyle in this land. You are also likely to see oryx and a variety of birds that are adapted to the desert environment. A river boat trip adds an extra dimension to your stay, however, it is the impressive landscapes that capture your soul here.
