This luxurious back-to-nature experience invites you to slow down, unwind, and reconnect with both nature and yourself in the very heart of Swedish Lapland.

Tucked away in the forest and nestled at the foot of Raven Rapid in the Råne River Valley, Arctic Retreat is a real hidden gem. Just 3 architecturally designed log cabins, each with a private hot tub, provide a restful stay that can be shared with just a handful of other guests, or reserved exclusively as a private retreat for your family and friends.

Whether you seek adventure or solitude, you will find both here. This is your Swedish journey so you may do as little or as much as you wish. With a wide range of cultural experiences and nature activities on offer, you won't be short of options. The carefully curated guided activities are led by local partners with a high level of service which exceed the highest expectation, or you may prefer to explore independently.

To take full advantage of your time in this unique setting we have included the Retreat's 'Explorer Programme' which includes the use of fat bikes, canoes and fishing equipment.  After a little initial guidance you are free to hit the trails, or the water, and enjoy the surrounding beauty at your own pace  before ending the day with a refreshing wild swim in the river.

You can also choose from a wide range of guided nature and cultural experiences. Biking, hiking, and canoe trips offer opportunities to encounter wildlife such as moose, beaver, and even reindeer. Embrace your inner Bear Grylls and learn essential survival skills in the wilderness - search for the best camp locations, build a fire, and practice simple shelter construction techniques. Alternatively, explore the timeless craft of blacksmithing and forge your own iron hook.

Culinary enthusiasts can join cooking classes or savour the ‘Flavours of the Eight Seasons’ with local legend Eva Gunnare and an unforgettable summer encounter allows you to step into Sámi culture, meet reindeer and hear stories of Sámi traditions and daily life, both past and present.

If you are visiting a little later during the autumn months, other opportunities await. As the forests erupt in a myriad of autumnal hues and berries burst forth, head out on foraging tours or step up the pace on a husky safari in a dry-land cart. As the dark nights begin draw in towards the end of August you may be lucky enough to witness the Autumn Auroras.

As your stay at Arctic Retreat comes to an end, you may wish to continue your Swedish adventure with a stay in another unique property. Transfers can be arranged other destinations such as Brandon Lodge, Aurora Safari Camp or Arctic Bath, or head back to the airport and spend a few days exploring the delights of Stockholm, enroute home.
