Pantanal Jaguar Safari

This is the classic short trip to see jaguars in the Pantanal wetlands. We use two different lodges in two different settings along the Transpantaniera to find a wide variety of wildlife before heading to the Ciuaba River to look for jaguars. You will head out for a couple of days in boats to search for these big cats that come to the river banks for hunting, water and a cooling breeze. There should be good opportunities to spend time in their presence.

After a last morning on the river transfer back along the Transpantaniera to your next lodge that is situated under the forest canopy and close to a small river choked with wildlife and birds. Coatis, agoutis, paca, hooded capuchin and golden howler monkeys are regularly seen together with a vast array of birdlife.

Timings on the last day depend on flight schedules but there may be time for a last guided nature walk before departing to Cuiaba airport and onwards.
