From Luleå Airport, you will be transferred to Brändön Lodge and welcomed into your cosy private cabin. Designed for comfort, each cabin accommodates up to four guests in 2 separate bedrooms, and the covered porch offers the perfect spot to unwind under the endless evening sun or, later in the season, keeping watch for the autumn auroras.

Summer life at Brändön Lodge revolves around both relaxation and discovery. Each morning begins with a generous breakfast in the main lodge, setting you up for a day of exploration, the first of which is a guided nature walk through the enchanting forests and along the secluded beaches of the island. Led by an expert guide, this gentle yet insightful experience reveals the unique character of the area and along the way, you may encounter native wildlife and learn about the local flora.

Cultural exploration is also woven into your itinerary with a visit to the historic Gammelstad Church Town. This remarkably preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site dates back to the 14th century and offers a fascinating insight into life in northern Sweden. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you will wander through the charming wooden cottages with time to browse local arts and crafts shops before pausing for a traditional Swedish coffee break.

A highlight of your stay is the opportunity to explore the archipelago from the water on a guided kayaking excursion. Paddling directly from the lodge you will glide between islands at a relaxed pace, take in the rugged shoreline, watch for birdlife, and absorb the quiet beauty of this untouched environment. A stop on a remote island offers the chance to rest and enjoy local flavours before continuing your journey back to shore.

Time spent at the lodge, is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You might choose to relax in the comfort of your cabin, unwind with a drink in the lodge lounge, or head down to the pebble beach to take in the fresh sea air. For those seeking a little more activity, optional experiences and equipment hire, such as fat bikes or canoes, allow you to explore the surrounding wilderness independently. From late August onwards, the evenings bring the possibility of witnessing the Northern Lights, with optional guided excursions available to enhance your chances of seeing this natural phenomenon.

Throughout your stay, meals are served in the lodge restaurant with locally inspired dishes offering traditional Lappish flavours. Evenings are relaxed and sociable, with time to unwind in the guest lounge and bar or simply reflect on the day’s experiences in the comfort of your cabin.
