Arctic Retreat
Your experience begins at Arctic Retreat, where a cluster of three private log cabins host a handful of lucky guests. Sitting at the water’s edge, these stunning accommodations combine traditional construction with modern architectural features. The exposed log wall interior evokes a feeling of warmth only highlighted by the cosy wood burning stove, and the expansive glass façade opens to an ample wooden deck where you will find your private jacuzzi.

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the surrounding forest and spend your days exploring independently at your own pace by snowshoe, forest skis or fat bikes. If you would prefer to spend time in the company of a local guide, then Nordic classics such as dog sledding and reindeer safaris can be arranged. Enjoy wildlife encounters on a moose safari, indulge in a little Sami culture, or take a culinary tour of Lapland’s eight seasons. Be sure to reserve a little time to relax in the sauna or take a warm dip in your personal jacuzzi, with views across the Rane River, the perfect way to end each day.

Cuisine is a key feature of your Arctic Retreat experience and throughout your stay you will be treated to Swedish inspired menus that consist of locally sourced ingredients including fish, game, berries and mushrooms. Start each day with a sumptuous breakfast and refuel with tasty campfire lunches before indulging in wholesome 3-course dinners. As each day draws to a close the magic of winter brings cosy evenings settled on reindeer hides around the fire pit while you watch the night skies for signs of the aurora.

Transfer by Snowmobile Safari
Just as you give way to the slower pace of life, an exhilarating journey by snowmobile will transport you across vast frozen lakes and through snow laden forests for another unforgettable Arctic experience at Aurora Safari Camp.

Aurora Safari Camp
This unique off-grid all-inclusive glamping hide-out certainly doesn’t compromise on comfort. There are just five fully insulated camp accommodations, each thoughtfully designed and furnished, with a wood stove that burns through the night to keep you snug, even in the most extreme temperatures.

Spend lazy days at camp or out exploring the surrounding nature in different ways. Snowshoes, Nordic skis, fatbikes and kicksleds are all at your disposal, offering you the freedom to roam independently or with a guide in tow. Head to the floating sauna platform, frozen into the ice during winter, where you may warm up before a refreshing dip in the ice hole.

After filling your days with wonder, spend your evenings in comfort in the guest lounge and dining area. Take a seat in the comfortable fireside chairs or gather outside around the firepit on the veranda, with views across the water. Once again you are afforded fabulous and plentiful food and drink throughout your stay perfectly complimented by the company of your gracious hosts. You just may not want to leave!

Both Aurora Retreat and Aurora Safari Camp can be enjoyed with other likeminded travellers, or for the ultimate privately tailored travel experience, choose exclusive use of one or both resorts.
