Support big cat conservation and stay in your own slice of luxury on safari at Okonjima

Introduction

The luxury Bush Camp is situated in a wilderness area, 3km from the main camp at Okonjima, a private reserve for the conservation of big cats, in particular cheetah and lion.

Okonjima Bush Camp consists of 8 thatched African-style chalets and a main lapa-style complex housing reception, lounge with fire place, kitchen, dining area and curio shop. The building is shaped rather like a camel-thorn pod, with a campfire area in its curve that overlooks a waterhole, and a swimming pool to one side.

Each unique African-style chalet is completely secluded and private. The chalets are a combination of earthy orange clay walls, khaki-green canvas and thatched roofs. The front 180 degrees is comprised of canvas panels which may be rolled up inviting you to enjoy your private bushveld vista. The Bush Camp cuisine has a definite African flavour and this camp gets great reviews from our clients.
