Low key bush camp in a good location with excellent guiding

Introduction

Musekese Camp has settled into an exquisite location among a small woodland overlooking a long dambo, or lagoon, that hosts an incredible array of wildlife. Beyond, the grasslands spread throughout the area providing a further rich source of game and bird life. The Kafue River is nearby and provides another wildlife viewing experience by boat.

Musekese consists of just 4 thatched tents specifically constructed with an open plan feel and each looks out over the dambo. Simply, but comfortably furnished this safari camp is very much along traditional lines where the emphasis is on the omnipresent wildlife and the rich knowledge to be gained from the owner guides.

The main thatched area sits under the trees and is primarily a lounge and bar whilst dining is often on the deck next to the dambo so you do not lose sight of the wildlife!

For regular safari-goers this is not just another Zambian or Kafue safari camp, this remote little gem owes much to the enthusiasm and knowledge of Phil & Tyrone and their passionate team that have developed an area they call "Eden". During our visit, besides the regular elephants, puku and a pair of resident male lions rarer species such as sitatunga and bushpig were seen suggesting it is perhaps Eden after all. Each safari activity here is personal and tailored to you wishes and we can highly recommend Musekese for an immersive experience.
