Home to beautiful white sand beaches, rugged coastlines and rich interiors, Nova Scotia comes with a distinct maritime flavour that further adds to its charm. Visit some of the 160 lighthouses that dot the coastline and immerse yourself in the history, culture and diverse wildlife that thrive here.

Your journey begins in the province's historic capital, Halifax and takes you along the picturesque South Shore where pretty fishing villages and white sandy beaches adorn the coastline. As you make your way inland an eco-lodge awaits in the heart of nature. This retreat on the border of the Tobeatic Wilderness Area is a nature lover's paradise and home to black bear, eagle, moose and beaver.

Heading back to coast the Bay of Fundy welcomes you with spectacular seascapes and marine rich waters. With more than 15 species of whales, and seabirds by the thousands, the Bay of Fundy is also home to the largest tidal range on earth. Continuing west you can discover some of the boutique wineries and succulent seafood of the Annapolis Valley before crossing the Northumberland Strait to Prince Edward Island.

This province of vivid colours and gently rolling landscapes offers a more simple way of life. Wander the historic streets of Charlottetown, the birthplace of the Confederation, and relax on secluded beaches before making your way back to Nova Scotia and on to Cape Breton Island. Explore the rugged highlands on the winding roads of the Cabot Trail keeping an eye for black bears, moose and even rare and elusive lynx which all reside here. Follow the shores of the Bras d'Or Lake, home to hundreds of bald eagles, then finally back to the mainland where the Marine Drive weaves a special route through seaside villages and quiet shoreline roads to reach Halifax.
