Return to Toronto for departure

Your adventure begins in Toronto, Canada’s largest and most multicultural city, where you’ll have time to explore vibrant neighbourhoods, the waterfront, world-class museums and iconic landmarks such as the CN Tower.

Leaving the city behind, travel north to Simcoe County, a relaxed lakeside region bordered by Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe, known for its friendly communities, long freshwater beaches and abundance of outdoor activities. Spend time in or on the water, hike or bike the trails and ease yourself into Canadian life.

Continue into the heart of Ontario’s cottage country to Huntsville, with opportunities to explore the scenic Muskoka region before spending a full day discovering Algonquin Provincial Park. Canada’s oldest provincial park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers superb hiking trails, tranquil canoe routes, rich wildlife viewing and fascinating cultural sites celebrating the park’s natural and human history.

Your journey then winds east through forested landscapes and river valleys to Ottawa, Canada’s elegant capital city. Here, spend time to exploring Parliament Hill, national museums, the historic Rideau Canal and the lively ByWard Market, all set along the border of Ontario and Québec.

Travel south along the scenic Rideau Heritage Route, passing through charming historic towns before arriving in Kingston, a city steeped in military and maritime history. While here, enjoy a relaxing 1000 Islands cruise, gliding past lush islands, grand estates and iconic landmarks along the St. Lawrence River.

Next, head west to the peaceful Kawartha Lakes region for a slower pace of life. Stay on the shores of Rice Lake and enjoy a wide range of resort activities, from paddling and swimming to hiking, cycling and simply relaxing in a beautiful natural setting.

The final highlight of your journey is spectacular Niagara Falls. Travel via the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and through Ontario’s renowned wine region, where orchards and vineyards line the route. Spend time experiencing the power and beauty of the Falls up close, enjoy scenic viewpoints and nearby nature trails, and take in the nightly illumination before returning to Toronto for your departure.

Blending cosmopolitan cities, scenic drives, outdoor adventure and iconic Canadian landscapes, this unforgettable Ontario itinerary offers a rich and varied travel experience from start to finish.
