Distinct from the rest of Canada, the province of Quebec is a land of striking contrasts - from fertile plains to the Appalachian Mountains, and vast expanses of forest, taiga and tundra. The landscape is shaped by more than a million lakes and thousands of rivers and streams, creating an untamed natural playground.

Rich in history and proudly French in culture, Québec is also a gastronomic delight, celebrated for its French-inspired cuisine and exceptional local produce. For nature lovers, it’s a true paradise, home to over 650 wildlife species, including bears, beavers, birds of prey and an abundance of marine mammals.

Day 1–2: Montréal
Arrive in Montréal, collect your hire car and settle into Hotel Sens for two nights in the historic heart of the city.  There is plenty of time to recharge and explore the city’s blend of old-world charm and modern energy. Highlights include Notre-Dame Basilica, Old Montréal, Mount Royal, St. Catherine Street and optional river cruises on the St. Lawrence.

Day 3–5: Duchesnay Resort, Lac Saint-Joseph
Drive to Duchesnay Resort (274km) for a three-night stay. Enjoy hiking, biking, water sports and spa facilities on the shores of Lac Saint-Joseph. During your time here you will have an opportunity to join a guided Black Bear Observation Tour, with the chance to spot bears, beavers and other wildlife from the safety of a viewing tower.

Day 6–7: Tadoussac
Travel via Charlevoix to Tadoussac (245km), staying two nights at Hôtel Tadoussac. Explore the Saguenay Fjord and join a thrilling whale-watching cruise in the St. Lawrence - home to humpback, minke, beluga and even blue whales.

Day 8–9: Saint-Félicien & Lac Saint-Jean
Journey north (284km) to Saint-Félicien for two nights at Hôtel du Jardin. Visit Zoo Sauvage de Saint-Félicien, home to boreal wildlife including wolves, caribou and bears who roam freely in vast natural habitats. Enjoy cycling, lake activities and local produce around Lac Saint-Jean.

Day 10–11: Québec City
Drive through Jacques-Cartier National Park (281km) en route to Québec City where you will stay for a final two nights at Hôtel Palace Royal. Discover the UNESCO-listed Old Town, fortified walls, Dufferin Terrace and charming cafés overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
