Berry Island in the Broughton Archipelago is home to Farewell Harbour Lodge. This island chain, located between Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest, boasts some of the best orca and grizzly bear viewing on the British Columbia coast.
Eight private oceanside suites are accessed via a broad-walk along the shore line and boast a gas stove, 2 queen beds and ensuite bathroom in their cedar clad interior. A further four suites, each with private bathroom, are located on the adjoining floating lodge. Fully refurbished and towed from its original location in nearby Bones Bay, the former Bones Bay Lodge now resides here in its new permanent home of Farewell Harbour. Both accommodations provide a unique charm and are interconnected via a series of walkways that seamlessly blend the sea and endless forest and merge with an expansive wrap-around deck. The main lodge building is accessed from the deck and features a comfortable guest lounge, dining room and bar with a large brick fireplace and picture perfect windows.
A stay at Farewell Harbour Lodge is part of an all-inclusive wildlife and adventure package and passionate guides will lead you on daily adventures into the Great Bear Rainforest and out to the marine rich waters of Johnstone Strait. You are also invited to experience some of the wealth of First Nations Kwakwaka’wakw culture that surrounds the area.
