Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge

One of our favourite lodges in the mountains, Dantica is a wonderful surprise, typical old cottages on the outside and something totally different inside, being wonderfully warm and contemporary with absolutely stunning views through the windows making you feel as if you are in the forest. Further along the mountain path there are also a series of modern deluxe bungalows making this the place to stay when exploring the delightful Savegre Valley.

Every cottage at Dantica consists of one or two bedrooms with private bathroom and a terrace. All the rooms offer a spectacular view of the valley with its cloudforest covered mountains. A walking trail system provides access to the nearby nine hectare cloudforest where with much luck you may see tapir, after which the lodge takes its name.

The terrace of each cottage is situated on the south side, combining warmth with a view that enables you to oversee the whole valley, ideal for bird watching from a comfortable chair, and the terrace is covered so that neither fog nor rain will disturb you.

Inside is a lounge with electric heating, a satellite tv and an enormous window that enables you to view spectacular sunsets. There is aslo a fully equipped open kitchen, with stove, coffeemaker, fridge and warm water, for those who want to prepare something on their own.

The main building houses a gallery of indigenous arts from Latin America as well as a dining area.
