To reach Luna Lodge is an adventure, whether you fly in on a chartered light aircraft to the nearby airstrip or journey around the southern tip of the Osa Peninsula from Puerto Jimenez. The last kilometre is ridiculously steep and rough as you head skywards into the forest but what a treat when you get there.
This secluded lodge overlooks a ridge along the boundary of Corcovado National Park and for naturalists this is a perfect spot where birds and mammals abound. On arrival you reach the main open air bar and restaurant with viewing deck. Close by is the free-form swimming pool. Dotted on the hillside above are 8 thatched chalets whilst nearer to the main lodge is the hacienda with 3 smaller rooms. Finally towards the top of the slope are some permanent tents for those looking on a budget.
Luna Lodge is ideal for keen naturalists and bird watchers.
