Papin Talo Guesthouse

With a countryside setting on the shores of Lake Rukajärvi, Papin Talo Guesthouse is located just a 10-minute drive from the centre of Ruka at Iisakki Village. The 11 guestrooms each sleep 2 people, with room for an extra bed, and feature their own bathroom facilities, television and a small kitchenette, whilst the common areas provide a relaxing space in which to unwind between activities or chat with other guests.

During your stay at Papin Talo you can experience a whole host of unique adventures in the stunning natural surroundings in both summer and winter. In summer you are free to make use of the rowing boat, canoes, sup-boards and outdoor fireplaces and when the snows arrive head out to explore independently by snowshoe or forest skis, which again are free to use.

To complete your experience there is an outdoor Jacuzzi and Finnish lakeside sauna, the perfect place to watch the dark night skies for signs of the northern lights or bask under the midnight sun.

Delicious meals are served in nearby Iisakin Talin or Kontioluola.

Iisakki Village
This comfortable base is located in beautiful Iisakki Village and is just one of five accommodations available here. At the heart of the village lies Iisakin Talo which serves as the main restaurant and provides a great meeting place for guests. The lakeside sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi are the perfect place to while away and evening and just 10-minutes away by bus is the small but bustling ski resort of Ruka. The Winter Village is built each year entirely out of snow and offers a chance to experience a night in a real snow igloo.

Iisakki Village is also home to the stunningly beautiful Iisakki Glass Villas, located on the shore of lake Rukajärvi. Floor to ceiling glass windows and a glass roof make for spectacular views whether you travel in summer or winter and each of the 10 villas are equipped with a kitchenette, bathroom and double bed.
