Plantation Lodge

Plantation Lodge is surrounded by coffee plantations with fabulous views to the 'green hills of Africa' that Hemingway found so inspiring. This great lodge is set at the foot of the Ngorongoro Highland Forest Reserve and was first established in 1927.

There are just 16 rooms ensuring this charming lodge has distinct character and a quiet nature, being tucked away in the heart of Africa. All rooms have comfortable Zanzibari beds with mosquito nets and are en suite. From your verandah there are wonderful views across the gardens with their exotic trees, flowers and birds. The food is predominantly fresh having come from the farm and is excellent. The farm is also a feature of the lodge and you are welcome to explore, there is are great opportunities for walks, or simply relax in the gardens or by the pool.

Immaculately run this is one of the best places to stay close to Ngorongoro Crater.
