This suggested itinerary highlights some of the possibilities around Sydney. Note that there are variations to this trip that we are happy to work through with you.
Today there is a chance to have a very different perspective of Sydney. You will learn about some of the native flora and fauna around the city and to take a look into its Aborginal past. In the evening you set sail on board a 38ft sailing yacht for an introduction to the waters around the harbour and straits. Of course there is time to relax and you may wish to snorkel from the boat before enjoying a delicious meal.
Transfer for the flight to Lord Howe Island where there is time to relax and explore this magical place from the luxury of Capella Lodge.
Only 11km long and at its widest just 2km, Lord Howe was discovered in 1788 and today is a World Heritage site for its rare collection of plants, birds and marine life as well as its exceptional beauty. It has the southernmost coral reef in the world and remarkable volcanic peaks that are home to endangered endemic species only found on the island such as the woodhen. There are a good number of activities such as hikes up the mountains to the cloudforest, snorkelling, diving and kayaking plus bike rides that can be done on this island paradise and you are sure to fill your days exploring.
