Namibia is an easy country for self drive holidays, making for a wonderful adventure destination for families. Start out from the capital heading north to the private reserve of Okonjima and home of the Africat Foundation. Not only do they offer up close and personal encounters with these beautiful wild cats but an informative insight into their lives and the perils they face daily.
Next stop is the coastal town of Swakopmund, the activity centre of the country; experience kayaking with seals, dune surfing, marine wildlife cruises, quad biking, fishing, sky diving and with easy access along the coast to Cape Cross one of Africa's largest breeding seal colonies.
From here head south to the beautiful dunes region. Take a sunrise climb on sand dunes such as Big Daddy and Sossusvlei itself. From a base just outside the national park enjoy horse riding, walks to view local wildlife, but the highlight of any trip is surely a hot air balloon flight over the dunes.
This suggested itinerary is just an example of possibilities available for trips to Namibia. Price is dependant on season, standard of accommodation and length of stay.
