Loggers Lodge is the brainchild of professional photographer Eric Borg, and together with his business partner, Jørgen Drugge, who also happens to be an outstanding chef, they have created a truly special place deep in the boreal forest and far removed from its nearest neighbours.
Dating back to the 1940’s, this original logger’s bunk-house formerly offered beds for up to 16 workers but today, after thoughtful renovation, it provides a romantic and luxurious exclusive-use hide-away. Greeted by its traditional Falu red timber exterior you are welcomed inside to a warm and inviting interior, complete with comfortable Swedish designed furnishings and a huge glass walled central fireplace. It is here you will unwind, sleep and dine and modern conveniences include a Sonos sound system with Spotify, a bean to cup coffee machine and silent mini bar with a selection of beers and wine. Internet needs are met with Wifi access and an iPad is on hand allowing contact with your host, should you require any assistance during your stay. If you are travelling as a family, the main room can be re-configured to include an extra bed and 2 further guests can be accommodated in a separate, yet equally luxurious annex, complete with it's own ensuite bathroom.
Throughout your stay, your every need is catered for by personal chef and guide, Jørgen. Traditional Lappish flavours are created using locally sourced organic ingredients and served direct to your table at a time to suit you, from a la carte breakfasts to sumptuous 3-course gourmet dinners, and be sure to sample the Swedish pastries, baked to perfection and offered as a daily treat.
Conducted privately and carefully curated, a host of day time experiences allow you to explore nature, sample wilderness cuisine and soak up Sami culture. After a day exploring Lappish nature, relax in the wood-fired sauna or hop into the hot tub to relax under the Arctic night skies where, with luck, the northern lights may dance. Bathroom facilities are located within the cabin and the separate sauna house provides a shower.
This is Arctic all-inclusive eco-luxury at its best, so embrace the silence of the wilderness and enjoy a level of service to satisfy the most discerning guests, while you escape the toils of daily life and re-connect with yourselves and nature.
