Fill your days with winter activities that celebrate the Kaunispää fell top or head to the nearby Wilderness Center where the reindeer roam, the huskies howl, and the winter pursuits guarantee an authentic experience far from the crowds. Downhill skiing at Saariselkä’s Ski Centre is available just a minute’s walk from the hotel and 1.8 km long toboggan run is surely the most exhilarating way to get to the village.  After action fueled pursuits, return to Star Arctic to taste the flavours of Lapland from the seasonal menu offered at Restaurant Kaunis and sip on Arctic inspired cocktails by the cracking fire in the cosy lobby bar.  Be sure to leave time to relax in the privately bookable sauna’s and take in the endless views through the large panoramic windows, quite possibly the perfect end to any day.
