Departing daily between October and April this cruise offers keen birders the opportunity to view an exceptional range of birds accompanied by knowledgeable guides who will share their love of the Sounds with you. Usual sightings include the rare king shag, spotted, pied and little shags, variable oystercatchers, white-fronted terns, reef and white-faced herons and fluttering shearwaters.
Alongside your scenic cruise through the Sounds you will also experience predator-free Motuara Island Bird Sanctuary home to many species of birdlife including blue penguins, saddlebacks, bellbirds, South Island robins and yellow-crowned parakeets.
