Location is everything in Lapland, and we have found a gem for those short on time but big on expectation. Surrounded by lush forest and nestled beside beautiful rapids, yet just 15-minutes from Rovaniemi Airport, Vaattunki Wilderness Resort is the perfect place to enjoy pure nature and indulge in a little romance.
Day 1
You will arrive at Vaattunki Wilderness Resort with plenty of time to explore your new surroundings before dinner this evening. Stay in a stunning Panorama Hut and enjoy the intimate space with it's modern Lappish Interior with huge panoramic window that will connect you to Lapland’s nature and offer the chance to witness the northern lights from or the comfort of your warm and cosy bed.
Day 2
Awake to your first full day in Lapland and after breakfast the fun begins with an exhilarating husky safari through the Arctic Circle wilderness. After lunch, enjoy a lazy afternoon and then retreat to the Riverside Sauna for some private relaxation time together before dinner.
Day 3
Linger a little longer in bed this morning before embarking on a trio of Lappish delights. Todays fun starts with a snowmobile safari on the forest trails that surround Santa Claus Village, and afterwards you have the option of reliving childhood memories during a visit to village itself. The coolest place to hang out here is Snowman World Winter Zone where you can try ice-skating and snowtubing before re-embracing your grown-up self with a drink in the ice bar! After dinner this evening back at the resort, another Lappish favourite beckons. Snuggle down for a romantic reindeer sleigh ride though the snowy forest where you may be lucky enough to see the northern lights dance above.
Day 4
Its time to depart Lapland today however, you may choose to spend time in the beautiful city of Helsinki on the way back home.
