After settling into your cosy accommodation and easing yourself into the more laidback lifestyle that Lapland offers, kickstart your adventure at the nearby Wilderness Center, where the reindeer roam, the huskies howl, and the winter pursuits guarantee an authentic experience far from the crowds. 
Siberian huskies are born to run and after meeting your own friendly team they will do just that, with you at the helm guiding the sled.  This exhilarating sled ride is sure to whet your appetite for what’s to come, and the thrill of speed continues with a fell top snowmobile adventure before a serene snowshoe hike slows the pace and transports you high above the tree line for far reaching and rewarding views.  Alongside the array of included guided adventures, you will also enjoy complementary snowshoe and toboggan rentals, and the 1.8 km long toboggan run is surely the most exhilarating and fun way to get down to Saariselkä village.  If downhill skiing or snowboarding is more your thing, Saariselkä’s Ski Centre is just a few moments away from the hotel. 
  
Your adventures are not just limited to the daytime as here, in the far north, you are perfectly placed to seek the northern lights.  Stay warm and cosy during a heated sleigh ride and maximise your chances when you head out by car to chase the lights further afield, if they are not forecast locally. 

Although you are treated to daily dining in the resort restaurant, on one evening of your stay you will celebrate Lappish flavours and traditions during an immersive wilderness dinner experience at the Wilderness Centre, which brings with it another chance to witness the auroras.
