Just a short transfer from Kittilä Airport transports you to another world where you are escorted along a snowy woodland trail to your cosy and private Aurora Wilderness Cabin. A light welcome dinner in the communal Metsola Cabin offers a flavour of the culinary delights to come. Then it’s time to settle in for your first night under the stars.
The real adventure begins the next day back at the family-run husky farm, where you’ll meet your eager sled dogs. Over three thrilling days, you’ll learn the art of mushing, each guest driving their own team of dogs, starting with a gentle introduction before building up to longer, more challenging rides through snow-laden forests.
Your first safari is designed to ease you in gently and you’ll return to base full of excitement and anticipation for your evening husky safari, an enchanting ride beneath moonlit Arctic skies, with the Northern Lights dancing overhead if you're lucky. With more confidence, day two brings a longer ride with a picnic lunch by a campfire and by day three, you’ll embark on an unforgettable full-day husky safari, again with a fireside lunch in the wilderness.
Evenings offer their own kind of magic. After each day’s ride, relax and rejuvenate in the traditional sauna, then gather in Metsola Cabin for hearty Lappish dinners and conversation with fellow adventurers. When bedtime beckons, return to your own warm private cabin retreat, where panoramic windows and a heated skylight invite you to stargaze or watch the auroras from the comfort of your bed.
